this is the first pic i took

sometime around 6-ish...now i know why Miss Michelle told me to get there around sunrise. i got out to take this pic and all i heard was birds - not a lot, just a few - and then a rooster crew as i snapped the pic. it was so quiet...there was NO other sound out there and i LOVED it :-)

plus, the sun came up and it was like...70 or so, not 43. :-p

what a view

from the "mile-high swinging bridge" bout midway on it, i'd say. yes, it does swing a little, and yes, it hella squeaks when you walk on it. no, i wasn't scared ;-)

first trail i saw

as soon as Grandfather Mountain opened up at 8, i was still napping on the side of the road =D ...but at 8:31, i hella woke up and went in.

this is one of my favourites. i don't think i could ever get tired of waking up to this.
